Two things can be wrong with your system in Juno Beach

Juno Beach is dense oceanfront and near-oceanfront condominium stock, and that drives most of what we find. Outdoor equipment sits in direct salt exposure. Indoor air handlers are frequently in closets or shared vertical chases where access is genuinely constrained, and a condensation problem in one unit is rarely only that unit’s problem. Buildings here also run high indoor humidity for large parts of the year, which is the condition that matters most for what grows inside a system.

Performance — is it doing its job?
Gauges go on the system. We look at refrigerant-side behaviour — subcooling and superheat — along with airflow and overall operating condition. In this climate the real test is whether the equipment controls temperature and humidity. A system that holds temperature but never gets the moisture out leaves a house cold, clammy and growing something.

Does an oceanfront condo need a different look than a house?
The equipment is often in a very different place, which changes what is worth examining. Much of Juno Beach is condominium and townhome stock where the air handler sits in an interior closet with limited clearance, the condenser is on a shared pad or roof, and the drain arrangement is not entirely yours. Everything looks clean at the vents. Is that enough to go on?
Not really. Grilles and the first few feet of duct are what a homeowner can see, and they are the least informative part of the system. A house can look immaculate at every supply register and have a coil loaded enough to be costing capacity, or a blower wheel packed to the point that the airflow numbers no longer make sense. It also runs the other way — we regularly find systems that look alarming at the return and are perfectly serviceable further in.
Salt air is on everything out here. How much does that matter inside?
Inside, less than people expect; outside, a great deal. The condenser, the cabinet and the exposed metal take the beating, and that is where corrosion shortens a system’s life on this stretch of coast. What it means practically is that a Juno Beach system should be judged on condition rather than on age, because the same ten years does not mean the same thing here as it does inland.
